Our Event

The 7th Annual Roe Jan Ramble Bike Tour is a non-competitive ride perfect for both the casual as well as committed cyclist. Whether you enjoy a simple ride with your family, or you are an experienced dedicated cyclist, the Ramble offers something for everyone.

Every year we update our routes to make life interesting and enjoyable. All routes are on paved, lightly traveled public roads or rail trail through lovely farmland, rolling hills and picturesque hamlets. The Ramble begins and ends in Copake Memorial Park.

This year we have 6 great routes to choose from:

10 mile Route: Our family friendly casual ride. Beautiful scenery around Copake & Ancram. Mostly flat, some modest hills. Super enjoyable for the occasional rider..

18 mile Route: A nice, nice ride. Mostly flat with a couple short steeper hills, and fantastic scenery. For those who want more than our basic 10 mile ride, but not as challenging as our 25 miler.

25 mile Route: A moderately challenging ride, that includes rolling & a few steep hills, with amazing vistas. Great for intermediate riders & those who want a worthwhile outing.

35 mile Route: For the stronger rider, a more challenging ride through rolling hills with some steady steep climbs, but great scenery and an impressive finish. It includes segments of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. (total ascent 1,840 ft.)

50 mile Route: For experienced riders, this is our premier ride, through all three towns. Some challenging hills, but rewarded with impressive vistas. Includes segments of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. (total ascent 2,834 ft.)

Metric Century Route (100km/62.5 miles): NEW THIS YEAR! Want a challenge? Our 50 mile route & then some! Experienced riders seeking distance will get rolling steep hills, and impressive vistas. Go for it. (total ascent 3,436 ft.)

The 25 route has one rest stop with food, water and restrooms. The 35 mile route has two rest stops, and the 50 mile & 100 km routes have three.
